‘Adipurush’: Kriti Sanon To Play The Role Of Sita Opposite Prabhas?
There has been a lot of speculations about who will be the actress portraying the role of Sita and names like Anushka Shetty, Anushka Sharma, Kiara Advani and Keerthy Suresh were doing rounds reportedly.
New Delhi: The lockdown might have put a brake on several industries and businesses, but it did not stop actor Prabhas from announcing his upcoming 3 big banner films. The actor got his universal recognition with Rajamouli’s movie ‘Baahubali’. After ‘Radhe Shyam’ and the untitled movie with Deepika Padukone, Prabhas made another announcement about his upcoming movie with Om Raut ‘Adipurush’. While Saif Ali Khan has already been roped in to portray the role of Ravan, the hunt for Sita has been going on for long now.

There has been a lot of speculations about who will be the actress portraying the role of Sita and names like Anushka Shetty, Anushka Sharma, Kiara Advani and Keerthy Suresh were doing rounds reportedly. However, according to a report of Mumbai Mirror, the makers have found their Sita in Kriti Sanon.
A source revealed to the publication, “After considering several top names, from both the Hindi and Telugu industries, they decided on Kriti. She will play the character with grace and dignity.”
The source added, “Playing Sita is an opportunity of a lifetime for her, and she immediately came on board. She will be juggling multiple films in the first quarter of 2021.”
Revealing that the film will go on floors on January 2021, the source added, “It will mostly be shot in the studio against a chroma screen. Om and Bhushan have been talking to VFX technicians of international repute, who have worked on films like Avatar and Star Wars, to make the shooting process smooth and mount the film on a certain scale.”
‘Adipurush’ revolves around the concept of the triumph of good over evil. It is an adaptation of the Indian epic which contemplates the same message. Bankrolled by Bhushan Kumar, ‘Adipurush’ will be released in five different languages including Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam and Kannada. This movie is slated to hit the screens in 2022 and director Om Raut claims that the audience will get to experience like never before.
