Telangana Elections 2018: AAP promises Rs 3 lakh farm loan waiver, 2-bedroom house for those with no property

Apart from this, the AAP would provide 20,000 kilolitres of free clean drinking water every month for each household and also pay half the rate for electricity, the manifesto said.

New Delhi: Aam Aadmi Party has assured farmers of a loan waiver up to Rs 3 lakh in its manifesto, an amount higher than what is promised by the ruling TRS. Apart from the loan waiver for farmers, AAP has promised in its manifesto a house for the roofless and higher budget allocation for agriculture. The party announced its manifesto and the first list of 15 candidates for the anticipated assembly elections which are scheduled to take place on December 7. The Aam Aadmi Party has no presence in the outgoing dissolved assembly. It released a list of the first set of 16 candidates for the elections. The AAP in-charge of the southern states and Delhi MLA Somnath Bharti had said the Arvind Kejriwal-led party would contest all the 119 assembly seats. The manifesto promised a Rs 3-lakh loan waiver for farmers and a two-bedroom house for those who do not have any property. Apart from this, the AAP would provide 20,000 kilolitres of free clean drinking water every month for each household and also pay half the rate for electricity, the manifesto said. Convenor of the AAP local unit Ramu Goud said the party was planning to complete the process of selecting the candidates by this month-end. (with inputs from PTI)
