Chennai: Tamil superstar Vijay was seen cycling to the polling station today to cast his vote, he was seen wearing a green T-shirt and a black face mask. He was seen cycling on a red and black coloured bicycle.
According to ANI, he rode a bicycle to the polling station at Vels International Pre School, Neelankarai in Chennai.

The image of him cycling went viral and the popular theory that rose from people was that this is his way of protesting against the rising fuel prices.
Although his publicist later clarified that the actor did so to avoid parking problems in the narrow street where his polling booth was.
Meanwhile, Kamal Haasan is contesting the Tamil Nadu Assembly Election from the Coimbatore South assembly constituency. After casting his vote Kamal Hassan said, "The next course of action is to educate people about this cash distribution, how disastrous it is for their lives and democracy. The money dolling out politicians put the blame on the people. This is a vicious circle and we are trying to make it virtuous."
Polling is underway in 5 states and 1 UT. According to EC, Voter turnout in assembly elections till 9.11am: Kerala- 3.21%, Tamil Nadu - 0.24%, Puducherry - 0.38%, West Bengal - 4.88% and Assam - 0.93%.
Tamil Nadu is voting in a single-phase election where over 6 crore voters will choose among the 3,998 candidates seeking election to the 234 seats. while the AIADMK, allied with BJP, is seeking a third term in the Tamil Nadu assembly election; DMK led by Stalin has emerged as a strong challenger.
