Shark Tank India: AAP Uses Meme With Ashneer Grover’s Punchline To Target Congress Rule In Punjab

AAP got inspired by the Shark Tank India memes and attacked its rival Congress in Punjab with a short video

New Delhi: In the latest political campaign, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has taken a cue from the popular Shark Tank India memes to target the Congress government in Punjab using the punchline of Ashneer Grover from the show.

Arvind Kejriwal-led AAP took the opportunity to hit out at the ruling Congress in the state ahead of the crucial Punjab polls scheduled on February 20.

The meme used the catchphrase from the show spelled out by Ashneer Grover for rejecting business pitches. Grover, the founder of BharatPe, is known for his straightforward and blunt replies to contestants on the show. 

Shark Tank has gained popularity for its revolutionary idea and memes have gone viral on the internet entertaining netizens. Now, AAP has got inspired by the memes and attacked its rival Congress with a short video posted on its offical Twitter account.</p

In this clipping, Ashneer Grover can be seen shouting in Hindi to a superimposed face of Punjab Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi as a contestant saying, “Issey wahiyat product maine zindagi me na dekha hai, na dekhna chahta hoon. Mereko bhagwan uthaale, itna ganda product hai ye. Iske baad main kuch nahi dekhna chahta life mein (I have never seen a more horrible product in my entire life and I don’t want to see again. Let God take my life - it is such a horrible product. I don’t want to see anything else in my life again).”

AAP captioned the video: “Punjab voters describing 5 years of Congress rule.” It ended the tweet with the hashtag 'Shark Tank AAP'. The amusing meme on the upcoming elections also garnered reactions from netizens with the post getting over a thousand likes.

In Punjab, AAP is the main opposition party and looking to strengthen its position in the state as Congress battles infighting.

The political party has been launching scathing attacks on the Congress government in the state besides campaigning extensively ahead of the elections. Punjab votes on February 20 in a single phase and the results will be declared on March 10.
