After announcing plans to formally launch a political party, election strategist-turned-politician Prashant Kishor has said his Jan Suraaj party would contest all 243 seats in Bihar assembly polls, which is scheduled to be held in 2025.


Prashant Kishor, while making the announcement during a media briefing in Patna on Sunday, also said that his party would give tickets to 40 women candidates in the Bihar elections.


"Jan Suraaj is fighting on 243 seats in 2025. At least 40 female candidates will be there. In 2030, at least 70-80 female candidates will be there. Till the time females will become economically independent, they cannot get equality. The females should get loan on 4 pc for earning their livelihood," Prashant Kishor told reporters in the Bihar capital.


The latest announcement comes a month after the political strategist said that Jan Suraaj, which started as a campaign in Bihar, will be registered as a political party on October 2.


Prashant Kishor, who is set to make his political debut in Bihar, is conducting public events and rallies before making formal entry into politics with Jan Suraaj in October. 


Kishor said that when the Jan Suraaj party forms government, people will not have to migrate from Bihar for low income. 


"I urge people to vote not just by seeing the leaders' sons or daughters but by seeing their sons and daughters," he said.


The former political strategist also attacked Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader Tejashwi Yadav saying his party, despite being in power for 15 years, does not know what GDP growth is. 



"Comments can be made if Tejashwi Yadav speaks on caste, extortion, liquor mafia, crime... But if Tejashwi Yadav discusses development model, it is laughable. They have been in power for the last 15 years, he does not know what GDP and GDP growth are, and is talking about the development story of Bihar," Kishor said.

 

Kishor has been attacking the three major parties in Bihar- Nitish Kumar's JD(U), Lalu Prasad Yadav's RJD and the BJP over unemployment and the resultant migration in the state. He has blamed the poor governance of the past governments under Nitish Kumar and Lalu Yadav for the poor infrastructure and low economic indicators in the state. 

 

He further said that if Nitish Kumar joins the RJD alliance in the future, then Tejashwi would stop speaking on crime.

 

"As far as crime is concerned, when Tejwashwi Yadav was the Deputy CM six months ago, Bihar was Switzerland for him and after six months Bihar has become a gutter...If today Nitish Kumar joins Mahagathbandhan, Bihar will again start looking great to him," he added.
