New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be on a visit to poll-bound Tripura on February 11 and February 13 where he will address two election rallies, sources told ABP News. On February 11, Modi is scheduled to hold poll campaigns in Gomati and Dhalai districts of the north eastern states while he will address an election campaign in capital city Agartala on February 13.
Election to the 60-member Tripura Legislative Assembly will take place on February 16 while the votes will be counted on March 2. The BJP has put up candidates in 55 seats and has left five seats for its ally IPFT.
The incumbent Bhartiya Janata Party has been campaigning in the state looking to maintain its government in the state for a third term.

Union Home Minister Amit Shah landed at Maharaja Bir Bikram Airport in Agartala on Sunday for two election rallies in the state. During an election rally in Agartala, Shah trained his gun agaisnt Communist Party of India (Marxist) saying that the party created controversies in the state while his party created trust.
"4000 were killed in Tripura during CPI(M) rule and violence was all over the state. BJP made Bru-Reang agreement & brought development here. CPI(M) created controversies whereas we created trust," Shah said while addressing a poll rally in Agartala.
Earlier, the Bharatiya Janata Party leader visited the state on January 5 and attended two Rath Yatras - one from North Tripura's Dharmanagar and another from South Tripura's Sabroom commencing the party's campaign for the Assembly elections.

Visit by Defence Minister Rajanth Singh and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath to the state on February 7 is also on cards to hit the party's election campaign.
In the 2018 Assembly election the BJP bagged 36 seats while its ally IPFT secured eight seats.
