Ahead of the final phase of the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday expressed confidence in securing a decisive majority for a third term during an exclusive interview with ABP Network. The interview, conducted by Suman De of ABP Ananda and Rohit Sawal and Romana Isar Khan of ABP News, covered topics including reservations, corruption in Bengal, and the impact of Cyclone Remal on Bengal and northeastern states.

Here are top quotes from Prime Minister Narendra Modi's interview with ABP News:

"I think the 'dictator' fraternity would be sad on opposition calling me 'tanashah (dictator)'. The opposition devalued the 'dictaors' market."

"I have grew up being slapped for small things. I have tolerated many things since childhood, and I don't have complaints."

"They (opposition) are naamdars, we (BJP) are kaamdar. Aur Iisiliye humare naseeb mein gaali, galonch, chappal likha hua hai."

"My relationship with Kashmir is very old. I worked there when I was a Sanghthan (RSS) worker there. I have been with the people of Kashmir. Years later, when I became the Prime Minister, I visited Kashmir the day it was experiencing a massive flood. Srinagar was flooded, and the Chief Minister was somewhere else. I visited the places affected. I met with officials at the Airport and allocated 1,000 crore rupees then and there."

"Today, the capital of Jammu and Kashmir Bank has increased. It is a profit-making bank now. During Covid times, I used to take special care of Jammu and Kashmir. I wanted tourist destinations to become Covid-free so that people's livelihoods based on tourism could get on track immediately. I initiated the first vaccination drives there."

"I am happy that Kashmir has voted. BJP is not even in the contest. I am glad that 60% of the population voted for this country."

"Mamata’s opposition to the court's decision is an insult to the judiciary. Granting reservations based on religion is a violation of the Constitution. The Constituent Assembly had debated this, and it was unanimously agreed that reservations should not be based on religion."

"We have already divided the country enough on religious lines. Reservations should not be a tool for vote bank politics.”

"77 communities were made OBC for vote bank politics, similar to what happened overnight in Karnataka."

"We are not opposing Muslims but we are against the idea that reservations should be given on the basis of religion, which our Constitution does not permit."

"Before reaching the third position, let's aim for the fifth. When the country's economy was at the 11th position, we brought it to the fifth. The jump from 11 to 5 is significant. To fulfill people's aspirations, the economy will play a crucial role."

"My entire system is functioning, everyone has been given a significant task, and they are working as if they have formed the government today)".

"Irrespective of any political party and ideology, Small fish got caught while big sharks escaped earlier."

"Mountains of currency notes are being displayed in front of the camera, how can we deny it?"

"Now the country is watching. You cannot deny that wrong has been done. Big names are behind bars... whether I know or not, those who have committed sins will face consequences."

"The government doesn't have money to fill its treasury, whether someone loots a house or the government loots, it doesn't matter. People will care when they get their money back. My belief is that looted money should be returned."

"There should be a definite money trail, and it is possible (to return the money)".

"If a maulvi from a madrasa talks about vote jihad, it can be dismissed as his education. But when it comes from a highly qualified family, it becomes worrisome. This path should not be followed."

"We are leading them down the wrong path for our politics. If left to their own devices, they would fare better. Many political parties claim to be their representatives, but how many have actually produced Muslim leaders? Hindu leaders have assumed the role of their spokespersons, keeping them under control. It's time for the Muslim community to introspect."

"Muslims must understand that their future is tied to the country's future. If the country sinks, they cannot survive alone. I urge them to educate their children; otherwise, they will fall behind. I have always said, 'One hand should hold the Quran and the other a computer.' I want to secure their future because it pains me to see them lag behind. The world is advancing rapidly."

"If they remain underdeveloped and unprosperous, can I prosper alone? Every part of the body must be healthy. They are an essential part of the country, and therefore, they must thrive."

"I am extra cautious on results day and tend to stay away from the numbers, etc. On the votes counting day, I increase the time of my meditation and other daily works. On counting day, no one is allowed in my room or to call me."
