PM Narendra Modi Exclusive: Prime Minister Narendra Modi, in an exclusive interview with ABP Network ahead of the final phase of the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, unveiled his vision for steering India towards becoming the world's third-largest economy.
Speaking about his ambitious goals, PM Modi stated, "Before reaching the third position, let's aim for the fifth. When the country's economy was at the 11th position, we brought it to the fifth. The jump from 11 to 5 is significant". He highlighted the transformative impact of this economic leap, citing examples of increased infrastructure development and improved access to essential commodities for the poor.
"When the economy moves from 11th to 5th position, its stature increases. Moving from fifth to third enhances your power significantly. When you rank among the top 3 economies in the world, the world's perspective towards you changes. Financial entities offer support in a very liberal way," he emphasised.
Emphasising the importance of economic growth in fulfilling people's aspirations, PM Modi remarked, "To fulfill people's aspirations, the economy will play a crucial role."
Discussing the challenges and his roadmap for achieving this goal, PM Modi identified the transition from the fifth-largest economy to the third as the most challenging. He expressed confidence in the initiatives undertaken by his government over the past decade, asserting that the trust built within the government and the system itself serves as a significant strength.

"My entire system is functioning, everyone has been given a significant task, and they are working as if we have formed the government today," PM Modi added, highlighting the enthusiasm and commitment of his team towards achieving the economic milestones.
