MP Elections 2023: Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has taken a swipe at Congress by attacking the Gandhi family and state Congress chief Kamal Nath. Chouhan said that the Gandhi family looted the country and Kamal Nath is looting the family. While addressing a press conference, the MP Chief Minister gave reference to Congress general secretary Priyanka Gandhi's speech and the confusion around some of the announcements.

"Gandhi family defrauded everyone, but now Kamal Nath is defrauding the Gandhis. I have seen the video of Priyanka Gandhi making announcements (pre-poll promises) yesterday. She first announced that Class 1 to 12 students shall be provided free education. Then Kamal Nath asked her to make a correction, following which she announced that Rs 500 will be given to students of Class 1 to 8, Rs 1,000 to students of Class 9-10, and Rs 1,500 to students of Class 11-12 every year," he said.

The CM added that at this juncture, Randeep Surjewala told Gandhi that the said amount will be given every month, not every year, "on which Priyanka Gandhi says that it's written every year".

Alleging that Congress is lying for votes, Chouhan said, "Earlier too, Rahul Gandhi promised that all loans would be waived... They are forcing them to make false promises. This is Congress' policy of getting votes by confusing the people... They are here again to thug the people... They are making Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi lie continuously but the public knows everything."

Madhya Pradesh will vote on November 17 and the results will be announced on December 3.
