Tamil Nadu police registered a case against state BJP president and party's Coimbatore candidate K Annamalai and Coimbatore District BJP Secretary Ramesh for allegedly campaigning in the Avarampalayam area last night beyond the permitted hours of campaign. According to the model code of conduct, the candidate should complete the campaign by 10 PM. 


Additionally, TDP national general secretary Nara Lokesh also campaigned in support of Annamalai on Thursday. 


According to ANI, a case has been registered against state BJP president and party candidate from Coimbatore, K Annamalai and Coimbatore District BJP Secretary Ramesh for allegedly campaigning in the Avarampalayam area last night beyond the permitted campaigning hours. The election code of conduct is that candidates who are contesting for parliamentary elections should end their campaigning by 10 pm.

Meanwhile, Nara Lokesh campaigning for TN BJP chief said, "Annamalai is a youngster. It is quite clear that he is committed to people's views. He has done a padayatra. He understands people's problems really well and he's taken a tough seat to now contest. I'm pretty certain that he's going to win in this election. It's very clear that, being a youngster he left his IPS job to come and serve the people of Tamil Nadu. I'm sure that the people of Tamil Nadu will reciprocate in the same regard."

"Andhra Pradesh state elections are a foregone conclusion. I am here in Tamil Nadu to support my friend Annamalai... We exchanged a lot of views and ideas on how to take respective states together," he said.
