Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be on a visit to Jammu and Kashmir's Udhampur on Friday after which he will is scheduled to visit Barmer and Dausa in Rajasthan where he will address poll rallies. Taking to social media platofrm X, Modi said address public gatherings in Udhampur and then Barmer and Dausa in the afternoon on Friday. 


"In this great festival of democracy, the echo of BJP is being heard all over the country. Today I will get the opportunity to receive the blessings of my family members of Jammu-Kashmir and Rajasthan. In the morning I will interact with people in Udhampur of Jammu-Kashmir and in the afternoon in Barmer of Rajasthan. After this, I will get the opportunity to be among the people in the road show of Dausa," he said in the post. 


Ahead of Modi's Udhampur visit as a star campaigner for Union Minister Jitendra Singh, the security has been stepped up including ban on flying of drones. 






The security agencies have issued advisories and Standard Operating Procedures (SoP) for people attending the rally and for the security personnel in view of the threat perception, according to a PTI report. 


Modi will address a huge rally in Batal Ballian area, officials said.


A multi-tier security arrangement has been piut in place to ensure smooth conduct which includes elaborate deployments, area domination, checkpoints and alertness in areas and vigilance on vital installations in the region by various security agencies.


According to the officials, security personnel have been deployed along the Jammu-Udhampur highway and vital junctions amid setting up of additional checkpoints to monitor the commuters.


Frisking has also been intensified at major spots on the highway.
