Addressing the press after the agreement, Annamalai said that PMK would fight in 10 seats in Tamil Nadu in the NDA.

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) finalised a seat-sharing deal with Pattali Makkal Katchi (PMK) on Tuesday. The deal was signed between TN BJP president K Annamalai and PMK Chief Ramadoss at the latter's residence in Thailapuram, Villupuram.

The BJP allotted 10 seats to the regional party. Addressing the press after the agreement, Annamalai said that PMK would fight in 10 seats in Tamil Nadu in the NDA.

The PMK is a political party with significant influence in some of the northern districts of the state, predominantly supported by the Vanniyar community.

PMK Joins NDA In Tamil Nadu

On the alliance, PMK President Anbumani Ramadoss said, "For the last 10 years, PMK has been part of the NDA in Delhi. Today, PMK has decided to join the NDA in Tamil Nadu and an agreement was signed. We are happy that we have joined the NDA in Tamil Nadu for a change."

"The last 57-58 years have seen that the parties have ruled and ruined Tamil Nadu. People want a change and we want a change. PM Modi will definitely become the Prime Minister for the third time in India and take India to greater heights. PMK has been allotted 10 parliamentary constituencies in Tamil Nadu and we are confident that we will have a great victory in the coming elections in Tamil Nadu as well as India," he said.
