Amid the ongoing "Parivaarvad" battle between the Bharatiya Janata Party and Rashtriya Janata Dal that has been simmering ahead of the Lok Sabha elections, Union Minister Girijaj Singh has now come forward and called RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav a "Seasonal Sanatani". He also added that "RJD does politics of appeasement wearing the mask of Sanatan".

The BJP leader while taking a jibe at Yadav alleged that when RJD supremo Lalu Prasad Yadav was in power, many people including the Rohingyas or Bangladeshi infiltrators came into India.

Demanding a mechanism that denies the voting rights to such infiltrators, the Union Minister stated: "Lalu Yadav's party is a private limited company, it's their company and to whom they want to give the shares become shareholders. In Bihar, be it infiltrators or Rohingyas, a large number of them have their names on the voter list. I demand a mechanism that denies them the voting rights."

Tejashwi Yadav on Tuesday claimed that the BJP-led NDA was "jittery" in Bihar as a result of which PM Modi's campaign was being intensified in the state.

Commenting on the prime minister's proposed rally at Gaya on April 16, Yadav stated "People do visit different places during elections, but it is becoming clear that the BJP is jittery this time. The attention of its top leaders, as also the ED and CBI, which are being used for settling political scores, seems focused on Bihar," a report by Economic Times stated.

This will be PM Modi's third rally in Bihar since the announcement of the Lok Sabha elections. Previously, the PM addressed rallies in Jamui and Nawada.

In 2019, NDA secured landslide victory in Bihar, bagging all but one of the total 40 Lok Sabha seats in the state.
