Just days ahead of the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, the battle over "Parivaarvad" simmers, as Rashtriya Janta Dal Chief Lalu Prasad Yadav on Friday took a poetic jibe at Prime Minister Narendra Modi, stating "Jhooth ka darbaar - Modi sarkar (Court of Lies - Modi Government).
Taking a dig at the Modi government on X, the RJD supremo Lalu Prasad Yadav wrote: "Parivarvaad par jhooth, bhrashtachaar par jhooth. Banda BJP mei aaye toh rajneetik dhanda. Vipaksh mei hai toh voh ganda- yeh bhi jhooth."
"Dynasty politics is a lie, corruption is a lie. If someone joins BJP, it's a political business. If they're in opposition, then they're dirty- this too is a lie."
"Why is there so much falsehood? Who speaks so much falsehood?
The public has decided, to erase the lies of the Modi government," Yadav added.
Lalu Prasad's "No family of his own" Jibe At PM Modi
The RJD chief previously took a jibe at PM Modi stating that he does not have a family of his own, prompting the Bharatiya Janata Party to launch "Modi ka parivaar" campaign.
Launching the campaign ahead of the Lok Sabha polls, PM Modi also shared a video of BJP's campaign song 'Main Modi Ka Parivar Hoon,' just ahead of the Election Commission's announcement of the poll schedule.
Several BJP ministers and leaders have since then added a suffix ‘Modi Ka Parivar’ to their social media handles, after RJD founder Lalu Prasad's dig at the prime minister.
The BJP-led coalition, which often uses “parivarvaad” (dynastic politics) to target the Opposition, has fielded 11 candidates belonging to political families in Bihar for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.
The NDA has declared its candidates for all the 40 Lok Sabha seats in the state. Following the release of the candidates list, RJD questioned Modi what "Modi ka parivar" really meant.
