Former Rajasthan CM and senior Congress leader Ashok Gehlot said, "Rahul Gandhi is not contesting from Amethi because KL Sharma has been a ground-level worker for the past 40 years and he is enough to face Smriti Irani. Rahul Gandhi will definitely win the Raebareli seat... KL Sharma will defeat Smriti Irani...KL Sharma is a familiar face for the people here. He has worked for the welfare of the people. What could be better for the people than getting a person who has been working for them for so long", reported ANI.
Odisha CM Naveen Patnaik said, " Nothing will happen on 10th June. BJP will not be able to win in Odisha even in the next 10 years. With the blessing from Lord Jagannath and love of the people of Odisha, BJD will form the govt in Odisha for 6th time", reported ANI.
Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) chief Chirag Paswan reacted on Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal’s remark that PM Modi was going to retire soon, saying, “He should worry about himself, he is out of jail on bail. He has to surrender on June 2. Prime Minister has his whole cabinet to deliver on ‘Modi’s guarantees’. Kejriwal is taking the help of the same corrupt individuals to save him, whom he had opposed when he first came into politics", reported PTI.
During a public rally in Chatra in Jharkhand, PM Modi said, "...NDA not only will cross 400 in Delhi but will also form govt after winning majority seats in the states where Assembly elections are going on. The 'Shehzada' and his party will get even lesser seats than his age", reported ANI.
On Congress leader Mani Shankar Aiyar's statement, Union Home Minister Amit Shah said "Today the Congress party has reached such a brink of appeasement politics, that they and their fellow leaders Mani Shankar Aiyar and Farooq Abdullah by saying that Pakistan has atom bomb, are doing the work of keeping PoK at stake. Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge wrote to the Election Commission of India. "The Congress Party is on the side of the Commission and stands for the strength and independence of the Commission. The officials of the Commission should now decide where they stand", reads the letter, reported ANI.

Arvind Kejriwal To Accompany Punjab CM As He Initiates Campaign Trail For AAP in East, South Delhi
Delhi Chief Minister and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) national convenor Arvind Kejriwal will be accompanying Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann on Saturday as he is scheduled to hold roadshows in East and South Delhi Lok Sabha constituencies on May 11 to campaign for AAP candidates.
Delhi will go to polls in the sixth phase of the seven-phase election on May 25. The counting of votes will be held on June 4.
As per a PTI report, Mann will seek votes for Kuldeep Kumar and Sahiram Pahalwan, who have been fielded from the East Delhi and South Delhi constituencies by the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP).
"He will hold roadshows in the two constituencies," a party leader told PTI on Thursday.
Under a seat-sharing arrangement between the Congress and the AAP, the former has fielded candidates from three Lok Sabha seats in Delhi while the latter is contesting from the remaining four.
PM Modi To Address 3 Poll Rallies In Odisha Today
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be addressing three election rallies in Odisha on Saturday, news agency PTI reported citing a state BJP leader. The Prime Minister will also take part in a roadshow in Bhubaneswar on Friday, as per the report.
“On May 11, he will address three public rallies – the first in Kandhamal at 9.30 am, the second in Bolangir at 11.30 am and another in Bargarh at 1 pm,” he said.
“The PM will also hold a roadshow in Bhubaneswar from 8 pm on Friday. He will stay the night at the Raj Bhavan,” Mohapatra told PTI.
Notably, the roadshow will start from BJP’s state headquarters near Sri Ram Mandir and end at Vani Vihar Square. Tight security arrangements have been made for the roadshow and the poll rallies, police said.
Modi had last visited Odisha on May 6, when he addressed two public meetings in Berhampur and Nabarangpur. Simultaneous Lok Sabha and assembly elections will be held in Odisha in four phases, starting May 13.
