Lok Sabha Polls: Congress Manifesto Could Promise 30 Lakh Govt Jobs, MSP Law, Caste Survey Among Others
The Congress is likely to promise 30 lakh government jobs to youth during Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra in Madhya Pradesh.
In a bid to woo the youth, women, farmers, and minorities of the country ahead of the Lok Sabha polls, Congress party is expected to make a slew of promises to voters in Madhya Pradesh during the Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra's final leg in the state. The party is likely to promise 30 lakh government jobs, law on the Minimum Support Price, women's reservation, and Sachar Committee among others.
The blueprint of Congress manifesto, accessed exclusively by ABP News, will focus on employment, inflation, and social justice. The manifesto will be released after receiving a nod from party's Central Working Committee, sources told ABP News.
The manifesto would also promise six thoudans rupees monthly allowance to the women and 33 per cent reservation in central government jobs.
To secure the OBC vote bank, the party may include caste census in its manifesto along with the promise to increase the reservation limit for backward castes.
Reiterating the promise from the last Lok Sabha polls, the party will promise to give Rs 72 thousand annually to the poor under the Minimum Income Scheme.
Implementing the recommedations of the Sachar Committee in a bidto consolidate the Muslim vote bank is also on the cards.
