Ahead of the Assembly elections in Karnataka, famous Kannada actor Darshan Thoogudeepa is set to campaign for the Bharatiya Janata Party in the poll-bound state, where the polling is slated to take place on May 10. According to BJP, the actor will campaign for the party starting from April 28.The Karnataka unit of the saffron party shared a plan of Darshan Thoogudeepa's campaign on Twitter. The actor will hold multiple roadshows on April 28. The actor, known for his action films, will also take part in road shows for various constituencies in the Kolar district including Kolar Gold Field Bangarapet, and Malur. 






Later in the day, Darshan will carry out roadshows in Hoskote, Devanahalli, Doddaballapur, and Nelamangala constituencies in the Bengaluru Rural district. Notably, Darshan Thoogudeepa is the second prominent actor in Karnataka after Kiccha Sudeep, who has extended support for the saffron party for the upcoming Assembly polls in the state.  






Kiccha Sudeep on Wednesday campaigned for BJP’s candidate from Molakalmuru Assembly constituency, S Thippeswamy, in Chitradurga. In a video shared by news agency ANI, Kiccha Sudeep was seen standing on a truck waving at the crowd along with Thippeswamy and other BJP leaders. In front of the vehicle was a horde of leaders and supporters cheering for the leaders and actors, some were even standing on another truck.


Earlier this month, an alleged threat letter was received by his manager, prompting the police to register a case. According to the police, Kichcha Sudeep's manager Jack Manju received a letter from an unknown person, threatening to release the actor's "private video" on social media. Acting on the complaint lodged by the actor's manager, the Puttenahalli police registered a case under sections 504, 506 and 120 (B) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).
