Karnataka Elections 2023: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday attacked Congress yet again for using 'abusive' language against him and said that it is nothing but just another way for the grand-old party to seek votes. Addressing a rally in Ankola in the state's Uttara Kannada district for the upcoming assembly polls, the prime minister said that the people of Karnataka will never forgive the abuser adding that people of the state would punish those who abuse.

Taking a jibe at Congress’s manifesto promise of banning ‘Bajrang Dal’, PM Modi said, "When you press the button at the polling booth, punish by shouting Jai Bajrang Bali." He added that Congress always gives false guarantees.

PM Modi said that the coffers of Congress are always full. He said that the opposition only knows 'Gaali politics'. “They cannot defeat us, so they abuse us. The people of Karnataka will reject ‘abuse’ politics and all the voters will teach them a lesson for abusing me”, PM Narendra Modi added.

Talking about the FDI investment in the state, PM Narendra Modi said, "During the Congress JD (S) government, 30,000 crores of foreign investment (FDI) used to come annually. Investment increased to 90,000 thousand crores annually in 3 years after the formation of the double engine government."

PM addressed a rally in southern Karnataka earlier in the day. Taking a jibe at Congress he said that 'Royal Family' sitting in Delhi wants to make Karnataka its number one ATM. PM Modi said that BJP's resolve is to make Karnataka Number 1 in the country, to strengthen the modern infrastructure in Karnataka, and to make Karnataka a 'Manufacturing Super Power'. Congress, on the other hand, is asking for votes in the name of retirement for undoing the development initiatives of the BJP, the Prime Minister added.

The Prime Minister said that it is BJP's promise to make Karnataka a manufacturing superpower. He added that there is excitement among the citizens of Karnataka regarding the elections and this time BJP will form the government with a majority.

PM Modi lashed heavily at Congress and said that it cannot sit with peace if peace prevails in society. He further said that if the nation is progressing and developing, the grand-old party can't tolerate it because its whole politics is based on the 'Divide and Rule' policy that the state has seen.

The Prime Minister said, "The Congress party that takes 85 per cent commission in every scheme will take Karnataka decades back and bury it in a pothole."
