New Delhi: BJP CM candidate in Karnataka assembly polls, BS Yeddyurappa ,while addressing a press conference said that people of Karnataka have already rejected Congress but the party is trying to make entry through backdoor.

Yeddyurappa had to leave for Delhi today which got cancelled as BJP's position seemed bleak following the positive developments between JDS and Congress.

In the conference he said “The people have rejected Congress and accepted BJP. People are moving towards Congress mukt Karnataka”.

Yeddyurappa emphatically said that people have given their mandate to BJP but Congress is trying to sneak in via backdoor, which will not be tolerated by the voters.

“I thank the people of Karnataka for giving this mandate to the Bhartiya Janata Party. Congress is trying to come to power through back door, people will not tolerate this” he said.

He said that the future course of action will be decided after consulting leadership.

It is to be noted that Congress and JDS have agreed on mutual support to form government and will approach the governor shortly.  The BJP has got maximum seats  and is close to majority. However the latest twist of events is likely to bring Congress back in power.
