The Bharatiya Janata Party released its first list of 195 candidates for the forthcoming Lok Sabha Elections on Saturday where former External Affairs Minister late Sushma Swaraj's daughter Bansuri Swaraj has been fielded from the New Delhi seat, Kamaljit Sehrawat from West Delhi, and Ramvir Singh Bidhuri from South Delhi. Praveen Khandelwal has been nominated from the Chandni Chowk seat and Manoj Tiwari from North East Delhi.

In Delhi, Ramesh Bidhuri, Parvesh Verma, Meenakshi Lekhi, and Harsh Vardhan dropped from Delhi LS seats, news agency PTI reported.

After the announcement, Bansuri Swaraj expressed gratitude to the BJP leadership saying, "I feel grateful. I express gratitude towards PM Modi, HM Amit Shah ji, JP Nadda ji and every BJP worker for giving me this opportunity. With the resolution of 'ab ki baar 400 paar', every BJP worker will work to make Narendra Modi the 'PradhanSewak' for the third time", as per news agency ANI.

BJP leader Praveen told PTI, "Traders from across the country will be happy that BJP has fielded a trader from Delhi’s Chandni Chowk seat. I would like to thank the party’s senior leadership for this. Definitely we are going to win more than 400 seats in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections."

 “This is a big surprise for me; I wasn't aware that party was going to give me a ticket. I was working as a BJP worker and this opportunity was unimaginable for me,” BJP leader Kamaljeet Sehrawat told PTI.
