ABP C Voter Survey: The opposition's mega I.N.D.I.A alliance has so far met thrice, the last being in Mumbai on August 31 and September 1. The parties resolved to contest the 2024 Lok Sabha polls against the BJP-led NDA coalition together and also said that they would soon initiate seat-sharing across various states. However, the saffron party has been countering the bloc over the issue of their Prime Ministerial candidate. So far, leaders of various parties in I.N.D.I.A bloc have refused the top post, saying the alliance was formed to oust the BJP and PM Narendra Modi from power.
ABP News and CVoter conducted a snap poll to see whether voters want the I.N.D.I.A leaders to declare the PM candidate for next year's general elections.
A total of 50.9 per cent of respondents said 'Yes' when asked 'According to you, should the I.N.D.I.A. opposition declare the PM candidate?', while 32.1 per cent said 'No'. Interestingly, nearly 17 per cent (16.9%) couldn't form an opinion on the matter.

Notably, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader and Delhi minister Atishi recently denied party national convener Arvind Kejriwal being in the race for prime minister. The remark came hours after Priyanka Kakkar said that as a party spokesperson, she would put forward the name of Kejriwal as the leader of I.N.D.I.A bloc.
It was earlier reported that Bihar CM Nitish Kumar would be made the convener of the grand coalition. However, the Chief Minister denied the same saying that he does not want anything for himself.
