ABP-CVoter Opinion Poll: Unemployment, Inflation Among Key Concerns Of Voters In 5 States — Details

ABP-CVoter sought responses from voters in the five states ahead of the elections, asking them to choose their key concerns be iinflation, unemployment, law and order, and others that are important to them. 

ABP-CVoter Opinion Poll: With states gearing up for the approaching elections, ABP and CVoter reached out to the voters of five states — Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Rajasthan, Mizoram, and Telangana — asking them their key concerns be it inflation, unemployment, law and order, woman security, corruption, Electricity/Water/Roads, and others that are important to them.  The voting is scheduled to be held in Mizoram, Madhya Pradesh, and Chhattisgarh (Phase 1) on 7 November; Chhattisgarh Phase 2 on 17 November; Rajasthan on November 23; Telangana on November 30. The counting of votes will be held on 3 December. 

Of the total people quizzed in poll-bound Telangana, 33.7 per cent stated inflation is the most important issue, 22.5 per cent opined it would be unemployment, 5.3 per cent said law and order and women security, 7.0 per cent said corruption, 2.5 per cent said Electricity/Water/Roads, and 29.1 per cent said other local issues. 

In Rajasthan, of the total respondents, 25.5 per cent said inflation would be one of the major issues, 28.2 per cent said unemployment, 6.6 per cent said law, order, and woman security, 6.2 per cent said corruption, 6.7 per cent said Electricity/Water/Roads, and 26.7 per cent said other local issues.

In Madhya Pradesh, 30.5 per cent of the voters surveyed said inflation would be a major factor, 31.0 per cent said unemployment, 3.8 per cent said law, order, and woman security, 4.9 per cent said corruption, 2.7 per cent said Electricity/Water/Roads, and 27.2 per cent said other local issues are important for them. 

In Chhattisgarh, 36.7 per cent of the voters surveyed said inflation would be a major factor, 27.7 per cent said unemployment, 5.6 per cent said law, order, and woman security, 6.6 per cent said corruption, 1.5 per cent said Electricity/Water/Roads, and 21.9 per cent said other local issues are important for them. 

Finally, in poll-bound Mizoram, of the total voters quizzed, 15.9 per cent stated inflation is the most important issue, 19.0 per cent opined it would be unemployment, 4.1 per cent said law and order and women security, 22.8 per cent said corruption, 15.7 per cent said Electricity/Water/Roads, and 22.5 per cent said other local issues. 

ABP-CVoter sought responses from voters in the five states ahead of the elections, to find out how much satisfied are they from the performance of the state government. 

In Telangana, as many as 57.0 per cent of voters are not satisfied with the performance of the ruling Bharat Rashtra Samithi and want to change the government, while 8.7 per cent are angry with the state government, however, don't wish to change the government. On the other hand, a total of 34.3 per cent of respondents are satisfied with the state government. 

In Rajasthan, 49.2 per cent of respondents are angry and wants to change the incumbent Congress government, while as many as 5.3 per cent of voters are angry with the state government, however, don't wish to change the government. On the other hand, a total of 45.5 per cent of respondents are satisfied with the state government. 

In Madhya Pradesh, where the BJP is in power, 55.4 per cent of voters are angry and wish to change the state government, while 6.1 per cent are angry but still don't want to change the state government. On the other hand, a total of 38.4 per cent of voters are satisfied with the state government. 

In Chhattisgarh, where Congress is in power, 48.5 per cent of voters are angry and wish to change the CM Bhupesh Baghel led state government, while 6.7 per cent are angry but still don't want to change the state government. Lastly, a total of 44.8 per cent of voters are satisfied with the state government.  

In Mizoram, where MNF is in power, as many as 50 per cent of voters said they are angry and want to change the incumbent government, 15.7 per cent are angry but still don't want to change the state government. Meanwhile, 34.3 per cent of voters are satisfied with the state government.
