Congress was able to win only 21 seats, while the CPI(M) grabbed 2 and 'others' bagged 1 assembly seat in Himachal Pradesh.Himachal Pradesh Assembly Election 2012In the 2012 Himachal Pradesh assembly election, under the leadership of Virbhadra Singh, Congress was able to return to power in the hill state. The Congress gained a simple majority (36 assembly seats) on their tumultuous road to victory.
