The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), with all pomp and show, has been aiming to breach the BJP fort in Gujarat. The saffron party, meanwhile, made sure their election campaigning was not outshined with heavyweights including Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, party president JP Nadda, and BJP chief ministers among others camping in the state. The main opposition Congress, which almost gave the scare of defeating the BJP in the 2017 Gujarat assembly elections, remained focused on a more door-to-door campaign. Newly elected party president Mallikarjun Kharge, Chief Minister of Congress-led states and even Rahul Gandhi campaigned for the grand old party to woo voters.
Ahead of the counting, ABP News in partnership with CVoter brings you Exit Poll results to gauge the overall trends in Gujarat. Stay tuned on ABP Live for the complete coverage of Gujarat Exit Poll Results 2022.

Gujarat Assembly Election 2017
In the 2017 Gujarat Assembly election, at one time during the counting it had looked like the Congress would be able to end BJP's run in the state. But they eventually finished with only 77 seats. Even with a diminishing vote share, the saffron party was able to wrest 99 seats, crossing the magic figure of 92 assembly seats for a simple majority. BTP won 2 and 'others' gained 4 in the 182-member Gujarat assembly.
Gujarat Assembly Election 2012
The 2012 Gujarat assembly election results essentially paved the way for Narendra Modi to be projected as the prime ministerial candidate for the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in the 2014 Lok Sabha elections. Under the then chief minister Modi, BJP easily won majority with 115 assembly seats. The Congress could win only 61 seats and 'others' got six.
