Unnao: In the 2014 Lok Sabha polls, Sakshi Maharaj from Bharatiya Janta Party (BJP) won the elections by a margin of 310173 votes. The polling / voting in Unnao constituency in the 2019 General elections took place in Phase 4 on 29 April. The major contest is between Bharatiya Janata Party#s Sakshi Maharaj and Samajwadi Party#s Arun Kumar Shukla

In the 2014 Lok Sabha polls, Bharatiya Janata Party won 71 out of the 80 parliamentary seat with 42.3 percent vote share while the Samajwadi Party managed to win just 5 seats with a 22.2 percent vote share.

Out of the 21 Lok Sabha candidates who contested the 2014 Lok Sabha elections from Unnao, 18 had to deposit their security. The voters gave their mandate in favour of Sakshi Maharaj of the Bharatiya Janta Party as he defeated Arun Shankar Shukla by a margin of 310173 votes.

• 2004 Lok Sabha Elections: In 14th Lok Sabha election, Bahujan Samaj Party candidate defeated Samajwadi Party candidate with a difference of 17761 votes. Here, Bahujan Samaj Party leader Brajesh Pathak attained 178366 votes and Samajwadi Party candidate Deepak Kumar bagged 160605 votes
• 1999 Lok Sabha Elections: In 13th Lok Sabha election, Samajwadi Party candidate defeated Bahujan Samaj Party candidate with a difference of 37775 votes. Here, Samajwadi Party leader Deepak Kumar attained 207242 votes and Bahujan Samaj Party candidate Mohd. Moin bagged 169467 votes
• 1998 Lok Sabha Elections: In 12th Lok Sabha election, interesting battle could be seen between Bharatiya Janta Party and Samajwadi Party here Bharatiya Janta Party candidate defeated his Samajwadi Party counterpart with a difference of 8129 votes.
• 1996 Lok Sabha Elections: In 11th Lok Sabha election, Bharatiya Janta Party candidate defeated Bahujan Samaj Party candidate with a difference of 45656 votes. Here, Bharatiya Janta Party leader Devi Bux attained 167301 votes and Bahujan Samaj Party candidate P.Vajiurrahman Safavi Alias Vazzi Mian bagged 121645 votes
• 1991 Lok Sabha Elections: In 10th Lok Sabha election, Bharatiya Janta Party candidate defeated Indian National Congress candidate with a difference of 18949 votes. Here, Bharatiya Janta Party leader Devi Bux Singh attained 119227 votes and Indian National Congress candidate Ziyaurahaman bagged 100278 votes
• 1989 Lok Sabha Elections: In Ninth Lok Sabha election, JD candidate defeated Indian National Congress candidate with a difference of 29365 votes. Here, JD leader Anwar Ahmad attained 145029 votes and Indian National Congress candidate Ziaur Rahman Ansari bagged 115664 votes
• 1984 Lok Sabha Elections: In 8th Lok Sabha election, Indian National Congress candidate defeated LKD candidate with a difference of 43996 votes. Here, Indian National Congress leader Ziaurrahman Ansari attained 215433 votes and LKD candidate Manohar Lal bagged 171437 votes
• 1980 Lok Sabha Elections: In 7th Lok Sabha election, Indian National Congress candidate defeated JNP candidate with a difference of 34869 votes. Here, Indian National Congress leader Ziaur Rehman Ansari attained 116375 votes and JNP candidate Bajrangbali Brahmachari bagged 81506 votes
• 1977 Lok Sabha Elections: In Sixth Lok Sabha poll, BLD candidate defated INC candidate in one-sided contest. Here, BLD candidate Raghavendra Singh attained 225122 votes and INC's Zairu Rahman Ansari bagged 64248 votes.
• 1971 Lok Sabha Elections: In Fifth Lok Sabha election, Indian National Congress candidate had defeated BJS candidate by a margin of 59158 votes INC candidate Ziaur Rahman had got 132054 while BJS got Bajrang Bali Brahmachari votes.
• 1967 Lok Sabha Elections: In Fourth Lok Sabha election, Indian National Congress candidate defeated PSP candidate with a difference of 34386 votes. Here, Indian National Congress leader K. Dev attained 93820 votes and PSP candidate K. Singh bagged 59434 votes
• 1962 Lok Sabha Elections: In Third Lok Sabha election, Indian National Congress candidate defeated JS candidate with a difference of 44136 votes. Here, Indian National Congress leader Krishna Deo Alias Munnoo attained 73340 votes and JS candidate Birpal Singh bagged 29204 votes
• 1957 Lok Sabha Elections: In Second Lok Sabha election, Indian National Congress candidate defeated PSP candidate with a difference of 14591 votes. Here, Indian National Congress leader Vishambhar Dayal attained 173684 votes and PSP candidate Tribhuwan Singh bagged 159093 votes
• 1951 Lok Sabha Elections: In India's Very First Lok Sabha poll, Indian National Congress candidate defated SP candidate in one-sided contest. Here, INC candidate Vishamabher Daya L attained 168081 votes and SP's Laxmi Prasad bagged 51290 votes.
