Uluberia: In the 2014 Lok Sabha polls, Sultan Ahmed from All India Trinamool Congress (AITC) won the elections by a margin of 201222 votes. The polling / voting in Uluberia constituency in the 2019 General elections took place in Phase 5 on 6 May. The major contest is between Bharatiya Janata Party#s Joy Banerjee and All India Trinamool Congress#s Sajda Ahmed

Uluberia 2014 Lok Sabha Polls

In the 2014 Lok Sabha polls, All India Trinamool Congress won 34 out of the 42 parliamentary seat with 39.8 percent vote share while the Communist Party of India (Marxist) managed to win just 2 seats with a 23 percent vote share.

Voter turnout in the 2014 Lok Sabha elections in Uluberia Lok Sabha Lok Sabha constituency. The total voter turnout was 81.87% Lok Sabha percent with 82.53% Lok Sabha percent male voters turning out to cast their votes. Meanwhile, 81.14% Lok Sabha percent of the women voters cast their votes and 8277 Lok Sabha voters pressed on the NOTA

Out of the 13 Lok Sabha candidates who contested the 2014 Lok Sabha elections from Uluberia, 11 had to deposit their security. The voters gave their mandate in favour of Sultan Ahmed of the All India Trinamool Congress as he defeated Sabir Uddin Molla by a margin of 201222 votes.

• 1999 Lok Sabha Elections: In 13th Lok Sabha election, Communist Party of India candidate had defeated All India Trinamool Congress candidate by a margin of 67577 votes CPM candidate Hannan Mollah had got 399397 while AITC got Dr. Sudipta Roy votes.
• 1998 Lok Sabha Elections: In 12th Lok Sabha poll, Communist Party of India candidate defated WBTC candidate in one-sided contest. Here, CPM candidate Hannan Mollah attained 404000 votes and WBTC's Saradindu Biswas bagged 290470 votes.
• 1996 Lok Sabha Elections: In 11th Lok Sabha election, Communist Party of India candidate defeated Indian National Congress candidate with a difference of 27842 votes. Here, Communist Party of India leader Hannan Mollah attained 415592 votes and Indian National Congress candidate Minati Adhikari bagged 387750 votes
• 1991 Lok Sabha Elections: In 10th Lok Sabha election, Communist Party of India candidate had defeated Indian National Congress candidate by a margin of 77481 votes CPM candidate Hannan Mollah had got 371955 while INC got Minati Adhikari (W) votes.
