Shahdol: In the 2014 Lok Sabha polls, Dalpat Singh Paraste from Bharatiya Janta Party (BJP) won the elections by a margin of 241301 votes. The polling / voting in Shahdol constituency in the 2019 General elections took place in Phase 4 on 29 April. The major contest is between Bharatiya Janata Party#s Smt. Himadri Singh and Congress Party#s Smt pramila singh

Shahdol 2014 Lok Sabha Polls

In the 2014 Lok Sabha polls, Bharatiya Janata Party won 27 out of the 29 parliamentary seat with 54 percent vote share while the Indian National Congress managed to win just 2 seats with a 34.9 percent vote share.

Out of the 14 Lok Sabha candidates who contested the 2014 Lok Sabha elections from Shahdol, 12 had to deposit their security. The voters gave their mandate in favour of Dalpat Singh Paraste of the Bharatiya Janta Party as he defeated Rajes Nandini Singh by a margin of 241301 votes.

Here, Bharatiya Janta Party leader Gyan Singh attained 296764 votes and Indian National Congress candidate Dalveer Singh bagged 257030 votes
