Nabarangpur: In the 2014 Lok Sabha polls, Balabhadra Majhi from Biju Janata Dal (BJD) won the elections by a margin of 2042 votes. The polling / voting in Nabarangpur constituency in the 2019 General elections took place in Phase 1 on 11 April. The major contest is between Bharatiya Janata Party#s Balabhadra Majhi and Biju Janata Dal#s Mesh Majhi

In the 2014 Lok Sabha polls, Biju Janata Dal won 20 out of the 21 parliamentary seat with 44.1 percent vote share while the Bharatiya Janata Party managed to win just 1 seats with a 21.5 percent vote share.
