Ladakh: In the 2014 Lok Sabha polls, Thupstan Chhewang from Bharatiya Janta Party (BJP) won the elections by a margin of 36 votes. The polling / voting in Ladakh constituency in the 2019 General elections took place in Phase 5 on 6 May. The major contest is between Bharatiya Janata Party#s Jamyang Tsering Namgyal and Congress Party#s Rigzin spalbar

In the 2014 Lok Sabha polls, Bharatiya Janata Party won 3 out of the 6 parliamentary seat with 34.4 percent vote share while the Jammu & Kashmir People's Democratic Party managed to win just 3 seats with a 20.5 percent vote share.
