Kairana: In the 2014 Lok Sabha polls, Hukum Singh from Bharatiya Janta Party (BJP) won the elections by a margin of 236828 votes. The polling / voting in Kairana constituency in the 2019 General elections took place in Phase 1 on 11 April. The major contest is between Bharatiya Janata Party#s Pradeep Choudhary and Samajwadi Party#s tabassum hasan

Kairana 2014 Lok Sabha Polls

In the 2014 Lok Sabha polls, Bharatiya Janata Party won 71 out of the 80 parliamentary seat with 42.3 percent vote share while the Samajwadi Party managed to win just 5 seats with a 22.2 percent vote share.

• 2004 Lok Sabha Elections: In 14th Lok Sabha election, Rashtriya Lok Dal candidate defated Bahujan Samaj Party candidate in one-sided contest. Here, RLD candidate Anuradha Choudhary attained 523923 votes and BSP's Shahnawaz bagged 181509 votes.
• 1999 Lok Sabha Elections: In 13th Lok Sabha election, Rashtriya Lok Dal candidate defeated Bharatiya Janta Party candidate with a difference of 38272 votes. Here, Rashtriya Lok Dal leader Amir Alam attained 206345 votes and Bharatiya Janta Party candidate Niranjan Singh Malik bagged 168073 votes
• 1998 Lok Sabha Elections: In 12th Lok Sabha election, Bharatiya Janta Party candidate had defeated Samajwadi Party candidate by a margin of 62175 votes BJP candidate Virendra Verma had got 289110 while SP got Munawwar Hasan votes.
• 1996 Lok Sabha Elections: In 11th Lok Sabha election, Samajwadi Party candidate defeated Bharatiya Janta Party candidate with a difference of 10022 votes. Here, Samajwadi Party leader Munawwar Hasan attained 184636 votes and Bharatiya Janta Party candidate Udai Veer Singh bagged 174614 votes
• 1991 Lok Sabha Elections: In 10th Lok Sabha election, JD candidate defeated Bharatiya Janta Party candidate with a difference of 22669 votes. Here, JD leader Harpal attained 223892 votes and Bharatiya Janta Party candidate Udayvir Singh bagged 201223 votes
• 1989 Lok Sabha Elections: In Ninth Lok Sabha poll, JD candidate defated Indian National Congress candidate in one-sided contest. Here, JD candidate Har Pal attained 306119 votes and INC's Bashir Ahmed bagged 184290 votes.
• 1984 Lok Sabha Elections: In 8th Lok Sabha election, Indian National Congress candidate had defeated LKD candidate by a margin of 98549 votes INC candidate Akhtar Hasan had got 236904 while LKD got Shyam Singh votes.
• 1980 Lok Sabha Elections: In 7th Lok Sabha election, JNP(S) candidate had defeated Indian National Congress candidate by a margin of 59481 votes JNP(S) candidate Gyatri Devi had got 203242 while INC(I) got Narayan Singh votes.
• 1977 Lok Sabha Elections: In Sixth Lok Sabha poll, BLD candidate defated INC candidate in one-sided contest. Here, BLD candidate Chandan Singh attained 242500 votes and INC's Shafquat Jang bagged 95642 votes.
• 1971 Lok Sabha Elections: In Fifth Lok Sabha election, Indian National Congress candidate had defeated BKD candidate by a margin of 72766 votes INC candidate Shafquat Jang had got 162276 while BKD got Ghayoor Ali Khan votes.
• 1967 Lok Sabha Elections: In Fourth Lok Sabha election, interesting battle could be seen between SSP and INC here SSP candidate defeated his INC counterpart with a difference of 1665 votes.
