Dhaurahra: In the 2014 Lok Sabha polls, Rekha from Bharatiya Janta Party (BJP) won the elections by a margin of 125675 votes. The polling / voting in Dhaurahra constituency in the 2019 General elections took place in Phase 5 on 6 May. The major contest is between Bharatiya Janata Party#s Smt Rekha Verma and Bahujan Samaj Party#s Arshad Ahmed Siddiqui

In the 2014 Lok Sabha polls, Bharatiya Janata Party won 71 out of the 80 parliamentary seat with 42.3 percent vote share while the Samajwadi Party managed to win just 5 seats with a 22.2 percent vote share.

Out of the 15 Lok Sabha candidates who contested the 2014 Lok Sabha elections from Dhaurahra, 12 had to deposit their security. The voters gave their mandate in favour of Rekha of the Bharatiya Janta Party as he defeated Daud Ahmad by a margin of 125675 votes.

বৃহস্পতিবার সকালে ইভিএম খোলার পরই স্পষ্ট হবে সেই প্রশ্নের উত্তর। তবে তার আগে বুথ ফেরত সমীক্ষার মাধ্যমে ভোটের সম্ভাব্য ফলাফলের একটা আভাস পাওয়ার চেষ্টা করেছে সমীক্ষক সংস্থা দ্য নিয়েলসেন। তাদের বুথ ফের সমীক্ষায় ইঙ্গিত, দেশের ৫৪২টি লোকসভা আসনের মধ্যে ২৭৭টিতে জিততে পারে বিজেপি নেতৃত্বাধীন NDA। অর্থাৎ ম্যাজিক ফিগার ২৭২-এর থেকে ৫টি বেশি। গতবার তারা ৩৩৬টি আসনে জিতেছিল। অর্থাৎ সমীক্ষার আভাস অনুযায়ী, এবার NDA-র ৫৯টি আসন কমতে পারে।
