Birbhum: In the 2014 Lok Sabha polls, Satabdi Roy from All India Trinamool Congress (AITC) won the elections by a margin of 67263 votes. The polling / voting in Birbhum constituency in the 2019 General elections took place in Phase 4 on 29 April. The major contest is between Bharatiya Janata Party#s Dudh Kumar Mondal and All India Trinamool Congress#s Satabdi Roy

In the 2014 Lok Sabha polls, All India Trinamool Congress won 34 out of the 42 parliamentary seat with 39.8 percent vote share while the Communist Party of India (Marxist) managed to win just 2 seats with a 23 percent vote share.

• 2004 Lok Sabha Elections: In 14th Lok Sabha poll, Communist Party of India candidate defated Indian National Congress candidate in one-sided contest. Here, CPM candidate Ram Chandra Dome attained 372294 votes and INC's Gopal Chandra Das bagged 180682 votes.
• 1999 Lok Sabha Elections: In 13th Lok Sabha poll, Communist Party of India candidate defated Bharatiya Janta Party candidate in one-sided contest. Here, CPM candidate Ram Chandra Dome attained 373687 votes and BJP's Dr. Madan Lal Choudhury bagged 216531 votes.
• 1998 Lok Sabha Elections: In 12th Lok Sabha poll, Communist Party of India candidate defated Bharatiya Janta Party candidate in one-sided contest. Here, CPM candidate Dome Ram Chandra attained 380314 votes and BJP's Dr Madan Lal Choudhury bagged 218802 votes.
• 1996 Lok Sabha Elections: In 11th Lok Sabha poll, Communist Party of India candidate defated Indian National Congress candidate in one-sided contest. Here, CPM candidate Ramchandra Dome attained 402893 votes and INC's Mamata Saha bagged 291873 votes.
• 1991 Lok Sabha Elections: In 10th Lok Sabha poll, Communist Party of India candidate defated Indian National Congress candidate in one-sided contest. Here, CPM candidate Dome Ramchandra attained 334307 votes and INC's Subhendu Mondal bagged 171276 votes.
• 1989 Lok Sabha Elections: In Ninth Lok Sabha election, Communist Party of India candidate had defeated Indian National Congress candidate by a margin of 61949 votes CPM candidate Dome Ramchandra had got 345898 while INC got Badal Bagdi votes.
• 1984 Lok Sabha Elections: In 8th Lok Sabha election, Communist Party of India candidate defeated Indian National Congress candidate with a difference of 13481 votes. Here, Communist Party of India leader Gadahar Saha attained 278155 votes and Indian National Congress candidate Badal Bagdi bagged 264674 votes
• 1980 Lok Sabha Elections: In 7th Lok Sabha election, Communist Party of India candidate defeated Indian National Congress candidate with a difference of 40663 votes. Here, Communist Party of India leader Gadadhar Saha attained 223756 votes and Indian National Congress candidate Badal Chandra Bagdi bagged 183093 votes
• 1977 Lok Sabha Elections: In Sixth Lok Sabha election, Communist Party of India candidate defeated INC candidate with a difference of 30549 votes. Here, Communist Party of India leader Gadadhar Saha attained 136517 votes and INC candidate Birendaban Saha bagged 105968 votes
• 1971 Lok Sabha Elections: In Fifth Lok Sabha election, interesting battle could be seen between Communist Party of India and INC here Communist Party of India candidate defeated his INC counterpart with a difference of 8385 votes.
• 1967 Lok Sabha Elections: In Fourth Lok Sabha election, Indian National Congress candidate defeated FBL candidate with a difference of 32217 votes. Here, Indian National Congress leader S. K. Saha attained 83696 votes and FBL candidate G. Bauri bagged 51479 votes
• 1962 Lok Sabha Elections: In Third Lok Sabha election, Indian National Congress candidate defeated FB candidate with a difference of 32404 votes. Here, Indian National Congress leader Sisir Kumar Saha attained 74573 votes and FB candidate Mrityunjay Mandal bagged 42169 votes

ભારતીય જનતા પાર્ટીના નેતાઓ સતત એવા નિવેદનો આપી રહ્યા છે જે પાર્ટીની મુશ્કેલીઓ વધારી રહ્યા છે. પ્રથમ સાધ્વી પ્રજ્ઞા બાદમાં અનંત હેગડે અને પછી મધ્યપ્રદેશના બીજેપીના પ્રવક્તા અનિલ સૌમિત્રએ નાથુરામ ગોડસે-મહાત્મા ગાંધી વિવાદને લઇને નિવેદન આપતા મહાત્મા ગાંધીને પાકિસ્તાનના રાષ્ટ્રપિતા ગણાવ્યા હતા. જેના બાદ અનિલ સૌમિત્રને પાર્ટીમાંથી સસ્પેન્ડ કરવામાં આવ્યા છે.

લોકસભા ચૂંટણી 2019ના અંતિમ તબક્કાના મતદાન અગાઉ ભોપાલથી ભારતીય જનતા પાર્ટીના ઉમેદવાર સાધ્વી પ્રજ્ઞા સિંહ ઠાકુરે મહાત્મા ગાંધીના હત્યારા નાથુરામ ગોડસેને દેશભક્ત ગણાવ્યા હતા જેના પર વિવાદ પેદા થઇ ગયો હતો. હવે વડાપ્રધાન મોદીએ તેના પર પોતાની પ્રથમ પ્રતિક્રિયા આપી છે. વડાપ્રધાન મોદીએ કહ્યું કે, ભલે તેમણે આ મુદ્દા પર માફી માંગી લીધી હોય પરંતુ હું તેમને મનથી ક્યારેય માફ નહી કરી શકું.

નવી દિલ્હી: લોકસભા ચૂંટણી પ્રચારનાં અંતિમ દિવસે કૉંગ્રેસ અધ્યક્ષ રાહુલ ગાંધીએ ભાજપ પર આકારા શાબ્દિક પ્રહાર કર્યા છે. રાહુલે સાધ્વી પ્રજ્ઞાએ આપેલા વિવાદિત નિવેદન અને ભાજપના અન્ય નેતાઓના નિવેદન પર પણ પલટવાર કર્યો હતો. રાહુલ ગાંધીએ ટ્વીટ કરી કહ્યું કે, ‘આખરે મને ખબર પડી ગઈ છે કે ભાજપ અને આરએસએસ શું છે. તેઓ ગૉડના લવર્સ નથી પરંતુ ગોડ-સે ના લવર્સ છે. ’
