Bellary: In the 2014 Lok Sabha polls, B. Sreeramulu from Bharatiya Janta Party (BJP) won the elections by a margin of 85144 votes. The polling / voting in Bellary constituency in the 2019 General elections took place in Phase 3 on 23 April. The major contest is between Bharatiya Janata Party#s Devendrappa and Congress Party#s U.s ugrappa

Bellary 2014 Lok Sabha Polls

In the 2014 Lok Sabha polls, Bharatiya Janata Party won 17 out of the 28 parliamentary seat with 43 percent vote share while the Indian National Congress managed to win just 9 seats with a 40.8 percent vote share.

Out of the 12 Lok Sabha candidates who contested the 2014 Lok Sabha elections from Bellary, 10 had to deposit their security. The voters gave their mandate in favour of B. Sreeramulu of the Bharatiya Janta Party as he defeated N.Y. Hanumantappa by a margin of 85144 votes.

  • 1998 Lok Sabha Elections: In 12th Lok Sabha election, Indian National Congress candidate had defeated LS candidate by a margin of 63738 votes INC candidate K.C.Kondaiah had got 284909 while LS got N.Thippanna votes.
