Bareilly: In the 2014 Lok Sabha polls, Santosh Kumar Gangwar from Bharatiya Janta Party (BJP) won the elections by a margin of 240685 votes. The polling / voting in Bareilly constituency in the 2019 General elections took place in Phase 3 on 23 April. The major contest is between Bharatiya Janata Party#s Santosh Kumar Gangwar and Samajwadi Party#s Bhagwat Saran Gangwar

In the 2014 Lok Sabha polls, Bharatiya Janata Party won 71 out of the 80 parliamentary seat with 42.3 percent vote share while the Samajwadi Party managed to win just 5 seats with a 22.2 percent vote share.

• 1998 Lok Sabha Elections: In 12th Lok Sabha election, Bharatiya Janta Party candidate defeated Samajwadi Party candidate with a difference of 32440 votes. Here, Bharatiya Janta Party leader Santosh Kumar Gangwar attained 314480 votes and Samajwadi Party candidate Islam Sabir bagged 282040 votes
• 1996 Lok Sabha Elections: In 11th Lok Sabha election, Bharatiya Janta Party candidate defeated Samajwadi Party candidate with a difference of 39092 votes. Here, Bharatiya Janta Party leader Santosh Kumar Gangwar attained 225285 votes and Samajwadi Party candidate Islam Sabir bagged 186193 votes
• 1991 Lok Sabha Elections: In 10th Lok Sabha election, Bharatiya Janta Party candidate defeated Indian National Congress candidate with a difference of 37746 votes. • 1989 Lok Sabha Elections: In Ninth Lok Sabha election, Bharatiya Janta Party candidate defeated Indian National Congress candidate with a difference of 43165 votes. Here, Bharatiya Janta Party leader Santosh Kumar Gangwar attained 159502 votes and Indian National Congress candidate Begum Abida Ahmed bagged 116337 votes

फोनी तूफान टकराने के बाद पश्चिम बंगाल के कई इलाकों में बारिश हो रही है. साथ ही तेज हवाएं भी चल रही हैं.मौसम विभाग के मुताबिक, जैसे-जैसे ये तूफान बांग्लादेश की तरफ बढ़ेगा, इसका असर कम होता जाएगा.

फोनी तूफान पश्चिम बंगाल के खड़गपुर पहुंच गया है. ये तूफान आरामबाग, पूर्वी बर्दमान, नाडिया और मुर्शिदाबाद होते हुए बांग्लादेश में घुसेगा. फिलहाल किसी नुकसान की कोई खबर नहीं है.

ओडिशा में तबाही मचाने के बाद फोनी तूफान आज पश्चिम बंगाल से टकरा गया है. राज्य के कई इलाकों में फिलहाल भारी बारिश हो रही है. मौसम विभाग ने सात जिलों में भारी बारिश का अलर्ट भी जारी किया है. कई इलाकों में 100 से 110 किलीमीटर प्रति घंटे की रफ्तार से हवाएं चलने की संभावना जताई गई है.

फोनी तूफान आने से कोलकाता में 100 और 110 किलोमीटर प्रतिघंटे की रफ्तार से हवाएं चलेंगी. पूर्वी और पश्चिमी मिदनापुर सहित कई जिलों, उत्तर और दक्षिण 24 परगना के अलावा हुगली, झारग्राम, कोलकाता और सुंदरबन के भी चक्रवात से प्रभावित होने की संभावना है. इसके बाद बांग्लादेश की ओर बढ़ते हुए इसका असर कम होता जायेगा.
