The polling / voting in Bardhaman Purba constituency in the 2019 General elections took place in Phase 4 on 29 April. The major contest is between Bharatiya Janata Party#s Paresh Chandra Das and All India Trinamool Congress#s Sunil Kumar Mondal

In the 2014 Lok Sabha polls, All India Trinamool Congress won 34 out of the 42 parliamentary seat with 39.8 percent vote share while the Communist Party of India (Marxist) managed to win just 2 seats with a 23 percent vote share.

પશ્વિમ બંગાળની મુખ્યમંત્રી મમતા બેનર્જીએ કોલકત્તામાં ઠાકુર પુકુરથી તારતલા સુધી માર્ચ કાઢી હતી. આ અગાઉ મમતાએ એક બેઠક કરી હતી જેમાં મમતા બેનર્જીએ કહ્યું કે, શું વડાપ્રધાન મોદી જ બેઠક કરી શકે છે. લોકતંત્રમાં અમારો કોઇ અધિકાર નથી. ચૂંટણી પંચે અમારો ચૂંટણી પ્રચાર 24 કલાક અગાઉ રોકી દીધો છે. એવામા અમે એ પ્રમાણે પોતાની બેઠક નક્કી કરીશું.

કોલકત્તાઃ પશ્વિમ બંગાળમાં સમાજસેવી અને સ્વતંત્રતા સેનાની ઇશ્વરચંદ્ર વિદ્યાસાગરની મૂર્તિ તોડવાની ઘટના પર ટીએમસી ચીફ મમતા બેનર્જી અને વડાપ્રધાન નરેન્દ્ર મોદી વચ્ચે લડાઇ ચાલી રહી છે. એક ચૂંટણી રેલીમાં મમતા બેનર્જીએ વિદ્યાસાગરની મૂર્તિ તોડવાનો આરોપ ટીએમસી પર લગાવવાને લઇને વડાપ્રધાન મોદી પર નિશાન સાધ્યું છે. મમતા બેનર્જીએ કહ્યું કે, મૂર્તિ કોણે તોડી છે એનો તમામ પુરાવા અમારી પાસે છે અને વડાપ્રધાન મોદી જે ટીએમસી પર આરોપ લગાવી રહ્યા છે તેને સાબિત કરે નહીં તો અમે તેમને જેલમાં નાખીશું.
