Bankura: In the 2014 Lok Sabha polls, Sreemati Dev Varma (Moon Moon Sen) from All India Trinamool Congress (AITC) won the elections by a margin of 98506 votes. The polling / voting in Bankura constituency in the 2019 General elections took place in Phase 6 on 12 May. The major contest is between Bharatiya Janata Party#s Dr Subhash Sarkar and All India Trinamool Congress#s Subrata Mukherjee

In the 2014 Lok Sabha polls, All India Trinamool Congress won 34 out of the 42 parliamentary seat with 39.8 percent vote share while the Communist Party of India (Marxist) managed to win just 2 seats with a 23 percent vote share.

The total voter turnout was 82.21% Lok Sabha percent with 83.21% Lok Sabha percent male voters turning out to cast their votes. Out of the 14 Lok Sabha candidates who contested the 2014 Lok Sabha elections from Bankura, 11 had to deposit their security. The voters gave their mandate in favour of Sreemati Dev Varma (Moon Moon Sen) of the All India Trinamool Congress as he defeated Acharia Basudeb by a margin of 98506 votes.

• 1999 Lok Sabha Elections: In 13th Lok Sabha poll, Communist Party of India candidate defated Independent candidate in one-sided contest. Here, CPM candidate Acharia Basudeb attained 381720 votes and IND's Natabar Bagdi bagged 274722 votes.
• 1998 Lok Sabha Elections: In 12th Lok Sabha poll, Communist Party of India candidate defated Bharatiya Janta Party candidate in one-sided contest. Here, CPM candidate Acharia Basudeb attained 369695 votes and BJP's Sukumar Banerjee bagged 258112 votes.
• 1996 Lok Sabha Elections: In 11th Lok Sabha election, Communist Party of India candidate defated Indian National Congress candidate in one-sided contest. Here, CPM candidate Acharia Basudeb attained 420402 votes and INC's Gouri Sankar Dey bagged 191415 votes.
• 1991 Lok Sabha Elections: In 10th Lok Sabha poll, Communist Party of India candidate defated Indian National Congress candidate in one-sided contest. Here, CPM candidate Basudev Acharia attained 374058 votes and INC's Brajabasi Biswas bagged 191435 votes.

• 1962 Lok Sabha Elections: In Third Lok Sabha election, Indian National Congress candidate defeated PSP candidate with a difference of 27444 votes. Here, Indian National Congress leader Ramgati Bandopadhyay attained 74674 votes and PSP candidate Kanai Lal De bagged 47230 votes
• 1957 Lok Sabha Elections: In Second Lok Sabha election, Indian National Congress candidate had defeated IND candidate by a margin of 69416 votes INC candidate Pashupati Mandal had got 152687 while IND got Biswa Nath Bauri votes.

प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी ने राष्ट्रपति रामनाथ कोविंद से मिलकर पीएम पद से इस्तीफा दे दिया है. पीएम मोदी ने राष्ट्रपति से मिलकर अपना और मंत्रिपरिषद का इस्तीफा सौंपा और मौजूदा 16वीं लोकसभा को भंग करने की अनुशंसा की है. राष्ट्रपति ने नई सरकार के कार्यभार संभालने तक पीएम और मंत्रिपरिषद से कार्य जारी रखने के लिए कहा है.

केंद्रीय कैबिनेट की बैठक खत्म होने के बाद प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी राष्ट्रपति रामनाथ कोविंद से मिलने पहुंचे हैं. यहां वो उनसे 16वीं लोकसभा को भंग करने की अनुशंसा करेंगे.

केंद्रीय कैबिनेट की बैठक खत्म हो गई है. बैठक में 16वीं लोकसभा भंग करने की अनुशंसा करने का फैसला किया गया है.

केंद्रीय कैबिनेट की बैठक शुरू हो गई है, पीएम दफ्तर में बैठक हो रही है. बैठक में मौजूदा सोलहवीं लोक सभा को भंग करने की सिफारिश की जाएगी और ये सिफारिश राष्ट्रपति से की जाएगी. कैबिनेट बैठक के बाद मंत्रिपरिषद के सभी मंत्रियों के साथ प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी भी बैठक करेंगे. मंत्रिपरिषद की बैठक संसद भवन एनेक्सी में होगी. उसके बाद पीएम राष्ट्रपति से मिलकर अपना इस्तीफा और लोकसभा भंग करने की अनुशंसा कर सकते हैं. शाम 6.30 बजे पीएम का राष्ट्रपति से मिलने का समय है. उसके बाद राष्ट्रपति ने सभी मंत्रियों के लिए रात्रिभोज का आयोजन किया है. अस्वस्थ होने की वजह से वित्त मंत्री अरुण जेटली बैठक में मौजूद नहीं हैं.
