Baghpat: In the 2014 Lok Sabha polls, Dr. Satya Pal Singh from Bharatiya Janta Party (BJP) won the elections by a margin of 209866 votes. The polling / voting in Baghpat constituency in the 2019 General elections took place in Phase 1 on 11 April. The major contest is between Bharatiya Janata Party#s Dr. Satya Pal Singh and Rashtriya Lok Dal#s Jayant Chaudhari

Baghpat 2014 Lok Sabha Polls

In the 2014 Lok Sabha polls, Bharatiya Janata Party won 71 out of the 80 parliamentary seat with 42.3 percent vote share while the Samajwadi Party managed to win just 5 seats with a 22.2 percent vote share.

Out of the 14 Lok Sabha candidates who contested the 2014 Lok Sabha elections from Baghpat, 11 had to deposit their security. The voters gave their mandate in favour of Dr. Satya Pal Singh of the Bharatiya Janta Party as he defeated Ghulam Mohammed by a margin of 209866 votes.

  • 2004 Lok Sabha Elections: In 14th Lok Sabha election, Rashtriya Lok Dal candidate defated Bahujan Samaj Party candidate in one-sided contest. Here, RLD candidate Ajit Singh attained 353181 votes and BSP's Aulad Ali bagged 132543 votes.
  • 1999 Lok Sabha Elections: In 13th Lok Sabha poll, Rashtriya Lok Dal candidate defated Bharatiya Janta Party candidate in one-sided contest. Here, RLD candidate Ajit Singh attained 358069 votes and BJP's Sompal bagged 203650 votes.
  • 1998 Lok Sabha Elections: In 12th Lok Sabha election, Bharatiya Janta Party candidate defeated BKKGP candidate with a difference of 44706 votes. Here, Bharatiya Janta Party leader Sompal attained 264736 votes and BKKGP candidate Ajit Singh bagged 220030 votes
  • 1996 Lok Sabha Elections: In 11th Lok Sabha poll, Indian National Congress candidate defated Samajwadi Party candidate in one-sided contest. Here, INC candidate Ajit Singh attained 348600 votes and SP's Mukhia Gurjar bagged 149709 votes.
  • 1991 Lok Sabha Elections: In 10th Lok Sabha poll, JD candidate defated Indian National Congress candidate in one-sided contest. Here, JD candidate Ajit Singh attained 288742 votes and INC's Zile Singh bagged 91634 votes.
  • 1989 Lok Sabha Elections: In Ninth Lok Sabha election, JD candidate defated Indian National Congress candidate in one-sided contest. Here, JD candidate Ajit Singh attained 400053 votes and INC's Mahesh Sharma bagged 155406 votes.
  • 1984 Lok Sabha Elections: In 8th Lok Sabha election, LKD candidate had defeated Indian National Congress candidate by a margin of 85674 votes LKD candidate Charan Singh had got 253463 while INC got Mahesh Chand votes.
  • 1980 Lok Sabha Elections: In 7th Lok Sabha poll, JNP(S) candidate defated Indian National Congress candidate in one-sided contest. Here, JNP(S) candidate Charan Singh attained 323077 votes and INC(I)'s Ram Chandra Vikal bagged 157956 votes.
  • 1977 Lok Sabha Elections: In Sixth Lok Sabha poll, BLD candidate defated INC candidate in one-sided contest. Here, BLD candidate Chaudhari Charan Singh attained 286301 votes and INC's Ram Chandra Vikal bagged 164763 votes.
  • 1971 Lok Sabha Elections: In Fifth Lok Sabha election, Indian National Congress candidate defeated BKD candidate with a difference of 47610 votes. Here, Indian National Congress leader Ram Chandra Vikal attained 170270 votes and BKD candidate Raghuvir Singh bagged 122660 votes
  • 1967 Lok Sabha Elections: In Fourth Lok Sabha election, Independent candidate had defeated INC candidate by a margin of 87558 votes IND candidate R.S. Shastri had got 154518 while INC got K.C. Sharma votes.

नुकत्याच भाजपमध्ये प्रवेश केलेल्या सुजय विखे यांनी आज राळेगणसिद्धी येथे येऊन ज्येष्ठ समाजसेवक अण्णा हजारे यांची भेट घेतली. जवळपास पाऊण तास सुजय विखे यांनी अण्णांसोबत चर्चा केली. अण्णांच्या प्रकृतीची विचारपूस करण्यासाठी आपण राळेगण सिद्धी येथे आल्याचे सांगून अण्णांचा आशीर्वाद घेतल्याचे विखे यांनी सांगितले.
