Arunachal West: In the 2014 Lok Sabha polls, Kiren Rijiju from Bharatiya Janta Party (BJP) won the elections by a margin of 41738 votes. The polling / voting in Arunachal West constituency in the 2019 General elections took place in Phase 1 on 11 April. The major contest is between Bharatiya Janata Party#s KIREN RIJIJU and Congress Party#s Nabam tuki

• 1998 Lok Sabha Elections: In 12th Lok Sabha election, AC candidate defeated Indian National Congress candidate with a difference of 45105 votes. Here, AC leader Omak Apang attained 104041 votes and Indian National Congress candidate Jarbom Gamlin bagged 58936 votes
• 1996 Lok Sabha Elections: In 11th Lok Sabha election, Independent candidate defeated Indian National Congress candidate with a difference of 39616 votes. Here, Independent leader Tomo Riba attained 88718 votes and Indian National Congress candidate P.K. Thungon bagged 49102 votes
• 1991 Lok Sabha Elections: In 10th Lok Sabha election, Indian National Congress candidate had defeated JD candidate by a margin of 67581 votes INC candidate Prem Khandu Thungon had got 103249 while JD got Kamen Ringu votes.
• 1989 Lok Sabha Elections: In Ninth Lok Sabha election, interesting battle could be seen between Indian National Congress and PPA here Indian National Congress candidate defeated his PPA counterpart with a difference of 7746 votes.
