New Delhi: Primary schools in Uttarakhand that were closed for a long time due to Covid-19 pandemic, have been reopened from today. Schools were opened for classes I to V after being closed for months.


The Department Of School Education has asked school operators to strictly follow the covid guidelines. The Education Department has issued an order in this regard.


According to the order, classes will take place for only 3 hours a day. Children will not be allowed to bring food and drinks to school. The order also provides an online class option for children studying in these classes. The school administration will have to ensure proper cleanliness of the entire campus including classrooms, offices, libraries, and toilets. It will be mandatory for everyone to wear masks. Along with this, social distancing is supposed be followed.


Parents will decide whether to send their children to school or not. Children will be allowed to come to school only after the permission of their parents. The order said strict action would be taken against schools that do not follow the covid guidelines.


Let us tell you that in Uttarakhand all schools from class VI to XII have reopened. Education Minister Arvind Pandey had spoken to Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami about the opening of primary schools. After getting the permission of the CM, it was decided to resume the school from September 21.
