UPSC Civil Services Examination 2019: Registration has begun today i.e. Tuesday, 19th February 2019 on the official online services website of the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) – upsconline.nic.in. Candidates interested in appearing for the CSE Preliminary Examination 2019 must submit their online applications on or before 18th March 2019, 6 PM. Though the closing date for UPSC Civil Services (Preliminary) Examination 2019 is a few weeks away, interested candidates must submit their applications sooner as the allotment of examination centres will be done on first come first serve basis. ‘Applicants must note that there will be a ceiling on the number of candidates allotted to each of the Centres except Chennai, Dispur, Kolkata and Nagpur. Allotment of Centres will be on the 'first-apply-first allot' basis, and once the capacity of a particular Centre is attained, the same will be frozen. Applicants are, thus, advised that they may apply early so that they could get a Centre of their choice,’ read an important note on the official website. Step 1 – Visit the official website – https://upsconline.nic.in Step 2 – Click on the hyperlink that reads, ‘ONLINE APPLICATION FOR VARIOUS EXAMINATIONS OF UPSC’ Step 3 – Click on ‘Click Here for PART I’ to fill your basic information Step 3 – Click on ‘Click Here for Part II’ to fill your payment details, select examination centre, upload Photograph, Signature, Photo Identity Card Document and Declaration. Step 4 – Download the confirmation page and take a printout for further reference Direct link to apply for UPSC Civil Services (Preliminary) Examination 2019 Eligibility Criteria: For Civil Services Examination: The applicant must possess a Bachelor’s degree of any of Universities incorporated by an Act of the Central or State Legislature in India or other educational institutions established by an Act of Parliament or declared to be deemed as a University Under Section-3 of the University Grants Commission Act, 1956, or its equivalent. For Indian Forest Services: The applicant must possess a Bachelor's degree with at least one of the subjects namely Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Science, Botany, Chemistry, Geology, Mathematics, Physics, Statistics and Zoology or a Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Forestry or in Engineering of any of Universities incorporated by an Act of the Central or State Legislature in India or other educational institutions established by an Act of Parliament or declared to be deemed as a University under Section 3 of the University Grants Commission Act, 1956, or possess an equivalent qualification. Age-Limit: The applicant must fall in the age bracket of 21 to 32 years as on 1 st August 2019.
