Salary: • The pay scale of Officers Grade ‘A’in SEBI will vary from Rs 28,150 - Rs, 55,600 About SEBI Formed by the government in 1988, Sebi was given statutory powers after passage of the Sebi Act in 1992 after the Harshad Mehta scam hit the Indian markets. The regulator is hiring these officers as part of its plans to beef up the headcount for faster and more effective execution of newly granted powers.
