New Delhi: While schools have become fully operational in some states after a decline in Covid cases, some states have still opened schools only for secondary school students as a precautionary measure. Here is a list of states where schools have opened only for younger students.  


In these states, schools are yet to open for younger classes:


Rajasthan, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand are some of the states where schools have been opened only for secondary classes. Students above the 10th standard have started going to school in Rajasthan, in Haryana as well students above the 10th class can attend physical classes.

Meanwhile, children above the 9th standard have been called in schools in Uttarakhand and Himachal Pradesh and in Pune, children from one to eight are being called for only half a day.


No decision was taken in these states:


Among the states where no decision has been taken in this regard so far, the name of UP and Bihar features at the top. Schools and colleges in these states are closed till February 6. It is expected that a decision in this regard will come by February 5.


Delhi is yet to make a decision, so far classes are closed until further notice. 


Schools from pre-primary to class XII have been opened in Jharkhand, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Telangana, West Bengal, Tripura.
