The board has not mentioned any specific reason for the delay of the exam dates. However, according to some media report, it has been suggested that the same is done to avoid overcrowding of the servers. Last week when the Group D Admit Cards were released for the candidates to download, the servers had crashed after a sudden rush of candidates. The admit cards, then, were sent to the candidates after servers resumed. This information, however, was not validated by the officials.
More than 1.9 crore candidates have applied for the RRB Group D Recruitment 2018. RRB will conduct the First Stage CBT for over a period of 2 months. The board has released the exam dates and schedule of the about half the applicants, however, the remaining candidates will get the information after October 5. Therefore, the candidates are advised to keep a track of the official website for any further inputs.
