NIRF India Ranking 2021: The Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan on Thursday announced the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) 2021. The NIRF India Ranking 2021 has been released for eleven categories including Overall, University, Management, College, Pharmacy, Medical, Engineering, Architecture, ARIIA (Atal Ranking of Institutions on Innovation Achievements), Law and Research Institutions. This year, a new category of research institutions has been added to the NIRF India Ranking.
On the basis of teaching, learning, resources, professional practices, peer perception and others, the institutes have been ranked in the NIRF India Ranking 2021.
For the third year in a row, the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras (IIT Madras) has bagged the first position in both the "Overall" and "Engineering Colleges" category in the NIRF India Ranking 2021. In the "University" category, the Indian Institute of Sciences, Banglore (IISc Bangalore) has secured the first position, followed by Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi, and Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi.
The IISc Bangalore has also bagged the first position in the "Research Institutions" category, followed by the IIT Madras, IIT Bombay, IIT Delhi, and IIT Kharagpur.
The Manipal College of Dental Sciences emerged as the best dental college in the nation, while the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi secured the first position in the "Medical Colleges" category.
In the "Law Colleges" category, NLSUI Bangalore secured the first rank, followed by NLU Delhi, and NALSAR University Of Law, Hyderabad.
The Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad secured the first position in the "Management Colleges" category, followed by the IIM Bangalore, and IIM Kozhikode.
