NEET PG 2024 Supreme Court Hearing: The Supreme Court of India will hear NEET PG 2024 result transparency plea on October 25. A group of students filed a plea in SC alleging discrepancies in NEET PG results and sudden changes in exam pattern. In the last hearing, the bench was expected to address concerns raised by aspirants regarding last-minute changes to the NEET PG exam pattern and a lack of transparency in the results process. However, the hearing was postponed after no representative from the Union of India appeared at the previous session.

NEET PG is conducted for admissions into postgraduate courses after MBBS and BDS. The results, announced by the National Board of Examinations (NBE) on August 23, have sparked concerns among students due to unexpectedly low rankings. This year, the exam was held in two shifts instead of the usual single shift, leading the NBE to implement a normalisation process.

Aspirants repeatedly requested the National Board of Examinations (NBE) to release the answer key, along with their normalised and raw marks. However, they received no response from the Board. Frustrated by the lack of transparency and sudden last-minute changes to the exam process, 19 students filed a petition with the Supreme Court, seeking redress for their concerns.

The Supreme Court first took up the case on September 13, when the Chief Justice noted that altering the exam format just three days prior was "very unusual." The court then asked the National Board of Examinations (NBE) and the Center to submit their responses within a week, scheduling the next hearing for September 27. On September 26, the NBE submitted a brief response along with an affidavit.
