NEET PG 2024 Result Controversy: NEET PG Counselling Schedule is expected to be released this week. The Supreme Court will hear the plea regarding NEET PG 2024 result transparency on October 25. Multiple petitioners have voiced concerns over last-minute changes in the exam pattern and other irregularities in the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET). Candidates are also frustrated by the lack of transparency in the result process. Aspirants have expressed discontent with the National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) for implementing sudden changes just three days prior to the exam, as well as issues related to the unclear marking process.

August 8, 2024: The NEET PG admit card was issued just three days before the exam.
August 9, 2024: The Supreme Court rejected a request to postpone the NEET PG exam, citing that last-minute changes could adversely affect around 200,000 candidates and their families.
August 10, 2024: The National Medical Commission (NMC) issued guidelines for exam day and confirmed the implementation of a normalisation method.
August 11, 2024: The NEET PG exam was conducted for 228,540 candidates across 416 centers. This year, 216,094 candidates took the exam.
August 23, 2024: The National Board of Examinations (NBE) announced the results but did not reveal the cut-off scores. Many candidates sought access to the answer key and their raw scores to understand the normalisation process, although the National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) usually does not disclose exam content.

September 13, 2024: The Supreme Court heard petitions from 19 candidates expressing concerns regarding the transparency of the examination process.
September 20, 2024: The court acknowledged the last-minute changes and called for responses from both the NBE and the Union of India.
September 27, 2024: The court requested the presence of an additional solicitor general to provide assistance in the case.
