The Supreme Court will resume hearing the NEET PG result transparency plea tomorrow, October 4, 2024. Students are eagerly waiting for the counselling schedule. The counselling schedule is likely to be announced once the Supreme Court decides on the results transparency case. While hearing the plea on September 27, CJI DY Chandrachud said, "We will keep it for Monday. The UOI has to be present. If none appears, we request the presence of any of the ASGs to assist the court."
However, the court later changed the listing date, and the matter is tentatively set to be heard on October 4.
The petitioners have raised concerns regarding the normalisation process and alleged discrepancies in the NEET PG 2024 exam results. Their plea calls for increased transparency in the result declaration process, including the release of answer keys and a detailed explanation of the evaluation methodology used to determine final scores.
The NEET PG 2024 exam was conducted by the National Board of Examinations (NBE) on August 11, with results announced on August 23. A group of 19 students filed a petition with the Supreme Court, citing concerns over a lack of transparency and arbitrary last-minute changes in the exam's conduct.
The registration for NEET PG 2024 Counselling Round 1 began on September 20, 2024. Candidates who appeared for the exam can complete their registration for the counselling process on the official website at mcc.nic.in. However, the detailed counselling schedule has not been released yet. Students are advised to regularly check the official website for updates.
