The students who failed in one or two exams have the option for attempting the compartment examinations. However, the student who failed in more than two exams can not opt for this procedure.
Usually, every board provides this facility and every year many students appear for compartment examination. However, this year the situation is quite different due to the Coronavirus pandemic. The novel disease forced the government to enforce a state-wide lockdown. Though the measures were necessary, this affected the ongoing exams.
The board could not even complete the exam process and conduct exams for all the subjects. In such a situation, questions about conducting compartment examination are bound to arise.
MP Board May Opt For Alternative Ways To Asses Students
It is to be noted that at the time when most boards canceled the pending examinations, the MP board successfully conducted the pending examinations of class XII. Therefore, the board which can conduct class 12th examinations, can also organise compartment examination.

However, if the Coronavirus situation worsens further, there are chances that the Madhya Pradesh board may opt for alternative methods instead of compartment exams.
It is being assumed that the board might conduct online examination or assess students on the basis of project or assignment. Such speculations are bound to exist in the hours of pandemic but we hope for the best decision from the concerned authorities.
