According to media reports, the exams were conducted in 2,879 centers, 18-20 students were allowed in each class to maintain social distancing. Students were seen standing in a long queue with 2-meter distances between 2 students outside one center in the IT capital Bangalore.
According to a report by IANS, a total of 86,000 personnel were involved to ensure a smoother process. This included 63,000 state-run school teachers and 23,000 from other departments like health, police, and social welfare. Students who had shifted to their hometown allowed to give the exam to their nearest centre.
Schools which were being used as centres also made proper arrangements for the exams."464 students writing exam, 20 will sit in one class. 2 rooms for those from containment zones and those who are unwell. We are working for the last 3 weeks to get everything in place, ensuring they maintain social distancing, wear a mask and sanitize," said Sister Sagaimir, Principal, St. Joseph's Convent Girls High School in a report by ANI.

In a news report by NDTV, Suresh Kumar, Education Minister was quoted saying "Children's safety is a top priority. In each room only 18 students will be allowed, 20 if the room is bigger. Social distancing will be maintained. Each student will be tested with a thermal scanner. If a student forgets a mask, the centres will give one. Sanitizers will be used. We request parents to cooperate and maintain social distance at the gates.”
