The Tamil Nadu graduate teacher examination is scheduled to take place on January 7, 2024. Eligibility Criteria For TN Teacher Recruitment:
Candidates interested in the position should meet the following criteria:
Hold a bachelor's degree and a two-year Diploma in Elementary Education.
Alternatively, candidates with a bachelor's degree who have secured at least 45% marks and possess a BEd degree are also eligible to apply.
Those who have obtained a minimum of 50% marks in Class 12 and hold a four-year Bachelor in Elementary Education (BElEd) or a four-year BA/BScEd or BAEd/BScEd degree are eligible for the recruitment process.
Candidates with a BEd (Special Education) degree and a bachelor's degree with at least 50% marks are also eligible.
Applicants should have a degree or its equivalent in the relevant subjects for which the recruitment is being conducted.
Proficiency in the Tamil language is a prerequisite for candidates applying for these positions.
Age Limit:
The maximum age limit for candidates in the General Category eligible for direct recruitment to this selection process is 53 years as of the first day of July in the recruitment year, which is 2023.
Candidates from Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, Backward Class Muslims, Backward Classes, MBC/DNC, and Differently-abled (DW) candidates of all castes have a higher age limit, which is 58 years as of the first day of July in the recruitment year, 2023.
Examination Fee:
The examination fee for this recruitment is Rs. 600 for all candidates, except for those falling under the SC, SCA, ST, and differently-abled categories, who are eligible for a reduced fee of Rs. 300.
